Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement engaging lessons aligned with the school's mission and educational philosophy.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Provide differentiated instruction to all students to maximize learning outcomes.
• Implement the IB Approach to Transdisciplinary learning.
• Modify instructional plans and materials to meet individual student needs by analyzing data.
• Demonstrate knowledge of educational research, trends and best practices.
• Integrate technology and experiential learning into daily instruction.
• Foster a safe, respectful, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Assess and monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student development and learning.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, specialists, and administrators to enhance instructional practices.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide events.
• Uphold and model the school’s core values and community expectations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Valid Florida teaching certificate or ability to obtain certification.
• Prior experience teaching in an independent or private school setting preferred.
• Prior experience in an International Baccalaureate school preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A deep understanding of child development and differentiated instruction.
• Enthusiasm for working with elementary-aged children and collaborating with colleagues.
• Commitment to continuous professional growth and development.
