Full-Time, Hybrid positionlocated in
North Haledon, NJ with a

Accountant supports the Accounting Manager in providing customized bookkeeping and overall accounting and financial management services to clients. Clients consist of small to mid-sized nonprofit organizations.
Our Ideal Candidate: - 2+ years experience in accounting/bookkeeping experience required
- Able to manage full cycle accounting tasks for small businesses/nonprofits
- Proven ability to manage competing deadlines or multiple client portfolios
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- QuickBooks Online strongly preferred
- Bill.com preferred
How You Will Spend Your Day: - Process payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable for assigned clients
- Ensure accounts receivable and accounts payable are current (less than 90 days)
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Review and post-investment account activity
- Review all uncleared checks and deposits for items over 120 days
- Analyze and prepare financial statements monthly for the Accounting Manager's/Director's review
- Manage annual audits and ensure all required schedules are completed in a timely manner
- Assist clients with the preparation of Form 990, 1099's, and other benefit, tax and regulatory schedules
- Perform ad-hoc accounting tasks on an as-needed basis
