Job Description Job Description ** Accountant ** Full Job Description We are a full-service accounting, tax, financial, bookkeeping and payroll firm looking for an Accountant. Assisting in the preparation of tax returns, financial statements and reporting are a large part of the accountant’s day-to-day work. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail. Responsibilities Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines Assist senior accountants in the preparation of supporting tax and financial statement workpapers Prepare individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns (will train) Working with clients to handle all their accounting and tax issues Tax planning for individuals and businesses Skills Great attention to detail Effective interpersonal and communication skills Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment, with strict deadlines Excellent organizing skills, respond to inquiries and address concerns in a timely manner Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices Understanding and previous use of a Windows-based computer system, proficiency in Excel and MS Word.
