As an Accounting Specialist Senior within PNC's Control/Finance Reserve Reporting organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA.

This position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at manager’s discretion.

Team Overview:

The Finance Reserve Reporting Team is a highly efficient group, focused on the production, analysis, and reporting of CECL results for PNC. As a member of the Reserve Reporting Team, you are part of the group that is responsible for the aggregation and analysis of the various components of PNC’s Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses. This group has significant interaction with the various risk, balance sheet analytics modeling and finance organizations and works directly with information about PNC’s various loan portfolios. The reserves process is a dynamic process of which the results are highly visible and a significant component of the financial closing process.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Work within the CCL application to run workflows, complete uploads, calculate provision, etc.
- Run queries/exports of data using SQL to assist in preparation of reserve related reports
- Analyze reserve-related data for accuracy, trends, etc.
- Collaborate across lines of business to ensure effective and timely results
- Complete ad-hoc requests, as required
- Develop a working knowledge of the Current Expected Credit Loss (“CECL”) accounting standard

Job Description

• Provides accounting, reporting and analytical expertise in support of a business function or business unit.
• Provides specialized accounting, financial reporting, accounting research and control oversight for the company.
• Creates accounting memoranda and various specialized reports for internal and external use.
• Completes month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities related to foreign exchange, cash management and tax, and subsidiary regulatory reporting, including preparing the appropriate audit work papers for such activities.
• Supports and assists accounting staff in the development of their professional skills.

Work Experience Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience. Certifications are often desired. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
