Nanny Opportunity In Columbus, Ohio

A lovely young family of three in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a fantastic nanny to assist with care of their 2-year-old daughter and newborn (due at the end of July). This is a live-in position and the family is providing separate housing in a neighborhood 20 minutes from the main home. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 40-50 hours per week. The family regularly travels to Palm Beach and other locations, and the nanny should be willing to join them as needed.

Responsibilities

• All aspects of care of two children, a toddler and a newborn
• Facilitating sleep, feeding, and hygiene routines
• Working as a right hand and true team player with a very involved SAHM
• Preparing meals for the children, including baby food
• Light housekeeping- the family has a cleaning service that comes twice per week, but the nanny should be willing to do family laundry and keep the home tidy and organized between cleanings
• Packing and planning for travel
• Keeping children's clothing organized and stocking nursery items

Qualifications

• Warm and nurturing
• Understanding of how to read the room and when to step in and out
• Excellent organizational skills, highly structured
• Highly experienced
• Proactive attitude and willingness to do household things while the parents are with the children
• Friendly, but understand professional boundaries
• Knowledge of children development with own ideas and suggestions, but willing to defer to the parents

Requirements

• Prior experience with toddlers and newborns
• Willing to wear a uniform (scrubs, provided by the family)
• CPR certified
• Willing to do family laundry and other light housekeeping tasks
• Driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to swim and supervise children in the water
• Desire for a long-term role and to grow with the family
• Prior experience traveling with families, able and willing to travel domestically and internationally

Salary and Benefits

• $30-35/hr. DOE
