Job Description

The Hicks Automotive Group is currently looking for an experienced Title Clerk to join our motivated team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of automotive dealership experience. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Processes all new and used vehicles for registration paperwork and submit on time
  • Prepares tax and title documents
  • Submits all legal transfer papers to the Department of Motor Vehicles
  • Verifies that funds have been collected and the correct lien holder is paid off before processing title applications
  • Check for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information is complete
  • Prepares payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins
  • Bills out all dealer trades and prepares Certificates of Origin
  • Complies and maintains a complete list of all outstanding title work. Reports to management on the status of any missing or problem titles.
  • Process all payoffs and obtaining all dealer titles.
  • Process all license plate issuing and transfers
  • Maintain titles and MSO’s for new and used inventory
  • Prepare title work for sold vehicles and submit to Department of Motor Vehicles
  • Assist general office team during month-end close out reconciliation process
  • Assist the finance department in their management of their contracts in transit
  • Assist customers who need assistance with their title work

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Automotive Title Clerk
  • Ability to provide quality customer service
  • Problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Intermediate mathematical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Professional appearance
  • Organized and can meet deadlines easily
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
