We’re seeking a Board Operator to provide programming and control board support to On-Air Talent in our Pittsburgh, PA market. Responsibilities include operating control board for studios and remote programming, regulating program timing, operating syndicated programming, playing commercials, monitoring technical quality and accuracy of on-air programming, supporting off-air commercial production, dubbing music to hard disk and programming automation computers, censoring live programs to protect station’s license, executing playlists, adjusting signal and programming content to meet broadcast standards, processing time-out programming, monitoring and updating weather, traffic and news reports, checking studio equipment and notifying Engineering of malfunctions, screening incoming phone calls, and handling emergency inserts. Requirements include flexibility in work schedule including evenings, overnight and weekends, comfort in a fast paced environment, previous experience or technical training, and experience with Microsoft Office. The role requires respect for others, ability to work within standardized procedures, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and common courtesy in communication.
