Insight Global is looking for a Building Engineer to work on-site in San Jose for a world-renowned real estate enterprise that's supporting a tech enterprise that designs, develops, and manufactures semiconductor and infrastructure software products. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Shift - 11:00am - 8:00pm
• Leads shift operations and directs vendors and subcontractors and/or provides technical and procedural training of coworkers and subcontractors.
• Utilizes advanced skills to perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment and grounds.
• Working under limited supervision, monitors building system operations and performance.
• Utilizes several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling, chiller operations, fire life, safety.
• Typically supports properties of .5 million to 1.2 million sq. ft.
• Reviews monthly tenant service request summaries to pinpoint and correct recurrent operational problems.
• Oversees and inspects the work performed by engineering staff.
• Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.
• Reviews assigned work orders. - Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair.
• Maintains inventory of adequate supplies and tools and orders necessary materials to complete all tasks.
• Consults with clients to schedule preventive maintenance and other downtime to minimize business interruption and inconvenience.
• Responds quickly to emergency situations, assigned repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance.
Required Skills & Experience
Shift - 11:00am - 8:00pm
• 4+ years of experience as a Building Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Plant Engineer, Electrical Engineer
• Universal EPA 608 certification
• Experience with troubleshooting MEP building systems such as HVAC, generators, etc.
• HS Diploma
• Valid CA Driver's License
• Can lift 50 pounds and ok with physical test
Salary: $99k – $120k
