Must Have Valid Driver\'s License 3+ years of Security Experience 21+ Years of Age Armed Guard Card/License Level III Armed Certification (Texas Only) 3+ Years\' Combined Law Enforcement/Military/Security Experience OR a College Degree Pay: $17.00 / hour, DailyPay or Weekly Pay Options Available. Full-Time Zip Code: 77042 Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Security Officer. The Armed Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of the facilities they protect. They act as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions; they detect and report suspicious, unsafe or criminal acts at or near their assigned posts which may be a threat to the property, clients, guests or employees at the site. Responsibilities Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information Preserve order and enforce rules, regulations, and directives for the viability of the site Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons Greet guests and employees, assist where appropriate; escort visitors and contractors, secure ingress and egress points, secure classified information Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders, reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and verbal communication; interact with client and/or other security personnel regarding order execution when appropriate Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms; act as a first responder in emergency situations and provide first aid as necessary Qualifications (must Have) High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment Minimum of three (3) years of law enforcement, military, or private armed security experience Minimum of 21 years of age (or higher if required by the state) Excellent communication skills; able to articulate and write clear and concise incident or situation reports Able to complete all range qualifications and functions Preferred Qualifications (nice To Have) Associate\u2019s degree or higher In Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field Benefits Health insurance and 401k plans for full-time positions Schedules that fit with your personal life goals Ongoing paid training programs and career growth opportunities Employee discounts through our perks program to your favorite restaurants, entertainment venues and much more Allied Universal is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
