Restoration Engineering, Inc. is seeking an entry level to young Civil, Structural or Construction Engineer to join our group of design professionals in the Fairfax, Virginia office. The candidate must be Federally eligible to work in the United States with a BS in Civil, Structural or Construction Engineering from an ABET- accredited school. The ideal candidate will read, write and speak English fluently and approach projects utilizing fundamental engineering concepts and knowledge of Building Codes. Candidates selected will work directly under a Professional Engineer preparing Proposals, Condition Reports and Contract Documents including Drawings and Specifications. Candidates will also interact with clients and the design teams; periodically observe construction and prepare Observation Reports. Advantage to working with this company is that the Candidate is exposed to all phases (from preparation of Engineering Phase Proposal to observation of Construction) of various types of projects. Projects range from structural analysis of existing building components to preparation of Contract Documents for complete building envelope restorations. In addition, Candidate works on several different projects at once so they are never bored with one large project. The candidate must not be afraid of heights or climbing ladders. Experience with AutoCAD is a plus. Typical work hours are Monday-Friday during normal business hours. Driving to local/regional job sites required. Salary will based on experience and similar qualifications.
