Essential Functions and Basic Duties Position Specific Performance Expectations: o Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization. o Implement applications, tools, and processes that assist clinicians with the management of data in patient care and the provision of health care. o Maintains changes to referential data, across clinical applications assigned. o Assist with application implementation and system customization including the development of alerts/hard stops, data integration, order generation, automation of document entry and enforcement of adherence to workflows. o Provide technical support, diagnosis of application errors and troubleshooting with system issues. o Interpret, modify, analyze and design clinical systems, data and information. o Design and implement educational and clinical services programs; support end-user training. o Facilitate clinical content team - work with physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other health care professionals to evaluate current EMR functionality and develop future applications by building consensus and using efficient decision-making processes. o Recommends innovative ideas, processes, and/or procedures for enhancements, additions, and modifications to improve existing systems. o Assist with the configuration and setup of new users within the clinical systems as they relate to the EHR. o Researches patient data across multiple applications to resolve discrepancies and/or improve work flow. o Serves as a resource person for daily operational issues within the electronic health record. o Work with other members of the team to implement solutions to system related problems to minimize operational impact. o Manage and lead the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of Meaningful Use within the facility. o Monitor and report quality data as related to the EHR and clinical software applications. o Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: o Must be at least 16 years of age (21 for driving positions) o Must be able to legally work in the United States o Must be able to pass a background check o Must be able to pass a drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable) o Must complete employee health meeting Must be willing to take on-call as assigned Education/Licensure/Certification: o Bachelor's degree in Healthcare and/or Information Sciences preferred. Experience: o One to three (1-3) years' experience in healthcare preferred. o Experienced in clinical systems implementations and support including system configuration, custom development, maintenance and software upgrades, preferred. Must be certified in have Epic for the Clinical Informaticists (or must be obtained within 1 year of start of employment) Skills/Abilities: o Must be able to be extremely detail oriented and capable of exploring innovative solutions to solve complex problems and address issues through the use of a combination of delivered and custom-developed tools o Ability to compile, code and categorize, or verify information/data o Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills o Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations o Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, and maintain a positive attitude o Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work o Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information o Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner o Ability to communicate effectively, with excellent verbal and written communication skills o Ability to handle difficult situations involving patients, physicians, or others in a professional manner Position Classification: Exempt Compensation Range: $28.11 to $42.17 ($58,468.80 to $87,713.60) Benefits: Medical, Dental, Life, Retirement, Paid Time Off Memorial Regional Health
