The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is responsible for supporting the IT needs of UC Irvine faculty, students, and staff. Our mission is to provide information technology leadership, services, and innovative solutions to promote the research, education, and community service goals of the University.
The Data & Information Management (D&IM) division provides common and shared data and analytics services that are utilized campus wide, including: database administration, data platform management, data integration, data quality management, business intelligence and analytics applications.
Under the direction of the Data Warehouse ETL Manager, the Cloud Data Platform Architect applies advanced IT architecture concepts and campus / medical center / OP or community-specific objectives to resolve highly complex issues with significant impact on the organization. Regularly works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Effectively selects criteria for evaluating results. Responsible for the implementation and administration of scalable, cloud-based data and analytics platforms across the UCI data ecosystem, leveraging a variety of DataOps, data warehousing and system administration methodologies and disciplines. Evaluates, recommends and implements data infrastructure automation, data ops tools and other related data infrastructure management solutions.
