We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Commercial Construction Project Manager to join our team. This role will be key in overseeing and directing commercial construction projects from conception to completion, reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables, and estimating costs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction, with a keen eye for quality control and budget management. Job Details

Responsibilities:
As a Commercial Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for a wide range of critical tasks, including:

1. Overseeing all aspects of construction project management from planning to implementation.
2. Allocating resources for assigned projects.
3. Supervising onsite personnel and subcontractors.
4. Negotiating with contractors to receive reasonable order costs.
5. Maintaining high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
6. Preparing internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
7. Planning ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
8. Analyzing, managing, and mitigating risks.
9. Ensuring quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
10. Managing the budget and estimate costs.
11. Ensuring all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.

Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Permanent Commercial Construction Project Manager, candidates must possess the following:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry.
2. Proven working experience in commercial construction project management.
3. Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
4. Expertise in blueprint reading, project planning, and construction scheduling.
5. Competency in handling negotiations and managing budgets.
6. Proficient in subcontractor management and quality control.
7. Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
8. Familiarity with construction and project management software programs.
9. Ability to plan and see the “big picture”.
10. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
11. A team player with leadership abilities.
12. BSc/BA in engineering, building science, or relevant field.
13. PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
