Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Commercial Spot Welder- 2nd Shift. The core hours are 2:30pm to 11:00pm. The hourly rate for this position is $19.53/hour + $0.60/hour shift differential per hour.

What you'll do: \n - Grind and polish metal.
\n - Use spot welding equipment, welds appropriate parts together based on specifications.
\n - Run samples and check product quality against prints.
\n - Adjust spot welder to properly weld material based on thickness and finish.
\n - Performs all quality checks, fill out daily activity reports, and enter time recording in SAP.
\n - Change and maintain welding tips as necessary.
\n - Performs 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.
\n - Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Basic (Required) Qualifications: \n - High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
\n - No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered

Preferred Qualifications: \n
Skills: Position Criteria: \n - Ability to lift 50 lbs. alone occasionally to frequently, and up to 100 lbs. with assistance occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending.
\n - Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools.
\n - Ability to follow directions, work independently and close attention to detail.
\n - Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product.
\n - Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate-.
\n - Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed by the business.
\n - Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks.
