Computer Assoc (Tech Support) Level I - Min $61,690 Max $78,449
Computer Assoc (Tech Support) Level II - Min $74,326 Max $94,948
Computer Assoc (Tech Support) Level III - Min $88,704 Max $118,463
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The selected candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of technical tasks, including but not limited to the deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of network elements such as, Switches, Servers, Workstations, Net Guardians, Storage Devices/Recorders, CCTV IP/Analog cameras, etc. The candidate will also assist with the deployment and troubleshooting of computer equipment, mobile devices, and desk phones. The incumbent will be responsible for setting up new Users with access to LAN, Email, Printer, Internet, Home Folder, Shared Folders, and different standard/proprietary software applications, as well as visit remote facilities, and provide technical support to end-users; perform Security System Administration, system upgrade, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks. In addition, the candidate will assist with flat-file database system development and perform weekly update /maintenance and assist with developing and maintaining documentations (forms, training manual, etc.). Perform diagnostics, including visual inspection of the head-end equipment cabinets and document hardware maintenance requirement in the "Daily System Maintenance Log". Candidate will also assist with IT equipment life cycle management, and review project documentations, coordinate with the contractors, and participate in various testing process such as UAT, FAT, SAT, SIT, etc. The selected candidate will aid subject matter experts in the implementation of HxGN EAM software and the roll-out of EAM related projects. Work will include identifying asset data requirements, collecting, organizing, and cleaning the data, as well as converting paper-based work processes into digital/online processes.
This class of positions consists of three Assignment Levels, differing according to the complexity and sophistication of the hardware and software systems and the number of years of relevant experience required. All Computer Associates perform related work and may be required to lift of up to 50 lbs. of equipment; work weekends, night shifts, and holidays.
The following are typical assignments within this class of positions:
Level I: Under general direction, with very great latitude for independent initiative and judgment, the incumbent will be responsible for performing relevant technical tasks, as mentioned above. This would be an entry level position requiring candidates having minimum four years of hands-on technical support experience.
Level II: Under general direction, with very great latitude for independent initiative and judgment, the incumbent will be responsible for performing relevant technical tasks, as mentioned above. This would be a mid-level position requiring candidates having six to eight years of hands-on technical support experience; at least two years being in SIRTOA technical environment.
Level III: Under general direction, with very great latitude for independent initiative and judgment, the incumbent will be responsible for performing relevant technical tasks, as mentioned above. This would be a senior level position requiring candidates having eight to ten years of hands-on technical support experience; at least two years being in SIRTOA technical environment. The incumbent may assume delegated responsibilities from the manager.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of satisfactory, full time experience in mainframe computer, mid-range computer, LAN or WAN computer environments, and/or local desktop support; or
An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college or university and three years of satisfactory, full-time experience as described in "1" above: or
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and four years of satisfactory, full-time experience as described in "1" above; or
Education and/or experience equivalent to "1", "2", or "3" above. Undergraduate college credit can be substituted for experience based on 30 semester credits, from an accredited college or university, for six months of experience. However, all candidates must have at least a four-year high school diploma.
DESIRED SKILLS
Experienced working with Fiber Optic Data Communication Network including Cisco L2/L3 Switches, Windows and Linux Servers/Workstations, Network Audio/Video Recorders, CCTV Security Cameras, Intercoms, and Door Access Control System
Well-versed with Cisco IOS Command Line Interface
Experienced with providing hands-on technical support to the end-users related to PC/Wyse Box, Multi-function Printers, Microsoft 365 Apps/Services, Shared Folders, Mobile Devices, and various standard/proprietary application software
Experienced working with LAN/WAN/VLAN, Switching/Routing protocols, and Networking Tools/Techniques
Experienced with developing flat-file database system and performing database maintenance/management
Familiar with proprietary systems, such as Genetec Security Center, Genetec Clearance, Nexus Server, Giga Smart, Giga VUE, Nozomi Network Guardian, Nozomi Network Central Management Console, Dominion Terminal Server, SIMATIC WinCC, Software House Ccure 9000 and/or Lenel Access Control System
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with ability to interact with all levels of staff and management
Responsible, reliable, and organized
Team player with good customer service skills
