The Role:
Due to significant increases in enrollment and our commitment to expanding our curriculum, we are seeking a passionate and innovative Computer Science Teacher to join our faculty in the Fall semester. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to build and develop a comprehensive Computer Science program that starts in middle school and culminates in AP-level courses. Your expertise will also support our Science Olympiad teams in areas such as robotics and programming. Your dedication to fostering computational thinking and problem-solving skills will prepare our students to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Computer Science curriculum for grades 6-12, culminating in AP-level courses.
- Collaborate with STEM colleagues to synchronize educational content and integrate interdisciplinary projects.
- Engage students in hands-on coding projects, computational thinking exercises, and problem-solving activities that foster learning and inquiry.
- Provide individualized support and timely feedback to promote student success.
- Support and coach students participating in Science Olympiad teams, particularly in areas such as robotics and programming.
- Act as an advisor, guiding students through their school journey.
- Maintain regular communication with families and participate in community events.
Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- Experience in teaching at the middle or high school level is a plus, but not required.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++).
- Experience or interest in coaching robotics or programming teams is highly desirable.
- Certification in teaching or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., IB Certification, UK Qualified Teacher Status) is desirable.
- A proactive communicator who thrives in a collaborative educational environment.
