Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee multifamily construction projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing the full construction lifecycle, with a focus on the movement, receipt, and utilization of materials on-site. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining the project schedule, managing employees and subcontractors, and minimizing waste to ensure efficiency. As our company uses a highly customized ERP software for project management, the Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring proper compliance with this system by all team members. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Delivery: Ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget, meeting all specified quality standards.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and senior management to ensure smooth project execution and clear communication across all stakeholders.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Project Scheduling: Utilize our Project Manager software to create, track, and update project schedules, adjusting timelines as necessary to ensure the project stays on track.
  • On-Site Supervision: Oversee daily on-site construction activities, ensuring all work is completed according to safety standards, quality requirements, and project timelines.
  • Contract Management: Manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure all obligations are met and the project progresses according to plan.
  • Daily Inspections: Conduct daily site inspections to assess project progress, identify potential issues, and proactively implement corrective actions.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain comprehensive project records using our ERP system, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date, accurate, and compliant with company standards.
  • Waste Minimization: Monitor and control project waste, working to identify opportunities to minimize materials waste and improve overall efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Proven Experience: Demonstrated success as a Construction Project Manager, with significant experience managing multifamily construction projects.
  • Blueprint Proficiency: Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans.
  • Software Knowledge: Familiarity with construction project management software and ERP systems (prior experience with custom software is a plus).
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate, collaborate, and manage diverse teams effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise between multiple parties, including contractors, clients, and senior management.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Education: A college degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required based on experience.
