Salary and benefits Starting GS-9 salary ranges from $61,111 to $124,443 annually, with potential overtime pay up to $45,000. Promotions are available after 52 weeks at each grade. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, and paid leave. Qualifications To qualify for GS-9, candidates need at least one year of specialized experience or equivalent education.
