Salary: 45000 - 65000

Mjolnir Security is seeking individuals who are committed to a career cyber security in our Security Operations Center as a Cyber Security Analyst. The Security Analyst monitors various threat detection solutions including industry leading SIEM, IPS/IDS, and firewall applications and initiates the incident and threat response process for Mjolnir Security customers. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, highly conscientious individuals who are committed to a career in cyber security.

We are hiring two full time team members to work rotating shifts including 2nd and 3rd shift and weekends. The position start date is Jan/Feb 2025.

Responsibilities

• SIEM and IPS/IDS monitoring
• Documenting security incidents according to defined policies
• Research, document, and respond to security incidents in accordance with response time service levels
• Preparing Daily, Weekly, or Quarterly Customer reports
• First Tier Customer Support
• Keep management up to date on customer issues and incidents
• PCI compliance reporting and audit support
• Staying current on security vulnerabilities
• Performs other duties as assigned or apparent

Skills and abilities

• Experience with Windows Desktop and Microsoft Office Suite products
• General knowledge of networking and/or security concepts
• Understanding of SIEM, Firewall, IPS & IDS Technologies a plus
• High degree of initiative, dependability, and attention to detail
• Ability to sit and concentrate for extended periods
• Ability to work independently and maintain good records
• Flexibility to work any shift including weekends as needed
• Must have the ability to analyze data
• Must have good oral and written communication skills

Requirements

• Ability to work in Canada and obtain Level II PWGSC security clearance.

• Networking and security certifications attained or in progress
• A degree in Cyber Security or Computer Science (attained or in progress)
• You must be local to Toronto/GTA
