We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

PayPal, Inc. seeks Data Scientist 3 in San Jose, CA

Job Duties:

1. Identify key metrics, conduct rigorous explorative data analysis, create executive-facing dashboards, and build business cases that drive decision-making and business prioritization.
2. Analyze consumer product performance and health, triage issues, and provide recommendations on the best course solution and optimization.
3. Synthesize large volumes of data with attention to granular details and present findings and recommendations to senior-level stakeholders.
4. Partner closely with product leaders to understand new product offerings being built and recommend the right metrics to measure the performance of those features.
5. Collaborate with engineering and data engineering to enable feature tracking, resolve complex data and tracking issues, and build necessary data pipelines.
6. Define and cultivate best practices in analytics instrumentation and experimentation.
7. Support multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
8. Mentor/manage junior members of the team with technical guidance and project management.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Data Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a closely related field plus three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Base salary: $211,536.00 - $287,100.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
