Job Description

Position purpose:

To provide courteous service and a clean environment for guests and team members.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

•Mop, scrub, rinse, and polish floors.

•Safely operate cleaning equipment including but not limited to rotary scrubbers, carpet extractors, automatic floor scrubbers, and floor buffers to clean carpeting, rugs, and upholstered furniture.

•Vacuum, sweep, scrub, and mop floors throughout the casino including all common areas, storage areas, and restrooms.

•Move, rearrange, and clean furniture.

•Perform deep cleaning duties in all areas of the facility and perform EVS Attendant duties as required and/or assigned.

•Respond quickly to requests for housekeeping services as circumstances dictate.

•Check inventory and replenish supplies such as paper goods, feminine care products, and cleaning supplies as needed.

•Report any problems, including property damage or equipment failure, to leadership.

•Frequently maneuver in small, limited spaces.

•Check daily duty rosters and read all communication from Supervisors at the beginning of the shift.

•Carefully and thoroughly clean, sanitize, and dispose of biological and other hazardous materials using standard precautions. Inspect bathrooms and other common areas periodically for cleanliness and take corrective action when needed.

•Conduct on the job training with new hires as needed.

•Become familiar with casino events and promotions to accurately inform guests.

•Obtain and maintain a gaming license.

•Ensure compliance with tip reporting procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.

•Execute the company 5-10 rule to all guests.

Requirements

Education/Qualifications:

•Must be at least 18. Prior housekeeping and floor cleaning experience required.

•Must be knowledgeable and know how to operate floor cleaning equipment.

Licensing:

•Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License

Work Requirements:

Shift: Full-Time | Graves

Requires problem solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. Position involves prolonged walking, stooping, or bending, lifting, or carrying up to 50 pounds daily. Work is performed in a casino environment with varying levels of lighting, air quality, noise, and / or temperature.
