Dementia Care Program Director Location: 139 Toddy Hill Rd., Newtown, CT 06470 What You'll Do: Lead a team dedicated to providing high-quality, person-centered care for seniors with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Oversee daily operations, develop and implement engaging programs, train and mentor staff, and collaborate with families to provide support and education. Key Responsibilities of a Dementia Care Program Director: Develop, implement, and oversee engaging memory care programs tailored to residents’ cognitive, social, and physical needs. Collaborate with clinical staff to create and monitor personalized care plans. Develop and implement dementia care programs that enhance residents’ quality of life. Lead and train staff on best practices in dementia care. Collaborate with families to provide education, resources, and emotional support. Support hiring and mentorship of dementia care staff. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Lead quality assurance initiatives to improve care services. What You'll Bring: Qualifications of a Dementia Care Program Director: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or social work (preferred). Certification in Dementia Care (preferred). Minimum of 3 years of experience in memory care, dementia care, social work, or senior living management. Strong leadership skills with experience in staff training and development. Deep understanding of dementia care techniques, including person-centered and behavioral interventions. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to foster relationships with residents, families, staff, and community partners. Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to long-term care and memory care. We Hire for Heart!
