Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team at West Georgia Dermatology. As an integral part of our clinical team, you will be involved in various aspects of patient care, helping ensure our patients have a seamless experience at our practice. Prior experience in dermatology and proficiency with the Modernizing Medicine Electronic Health Records (EHR) system is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist dermatologists with a variety of medical, surgical, and cosmetic procedures.
• Prepare patients for examinations, taking patient histories, and explaining treatment procedures.
• Manage patient flow, ensuring that each patient is seen in a timely and efficient manner.
• Perform preliminary physical tests such as taking blood pressure, pulse rate, temperature, etc.
• Maintain patient records with high level of accuracy using Modernizing Medicine EHR.
• Sterilize and prepare medical tools and equipment.
• Handle correspondence with patients, scheduling appointments, and managing follow-ups.
• Collaborate with the rest of the team to ensure a high standard of care.
• Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal health regulations.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred.
• Prior experience in a dermatology setting is preferred.
• Proficient in Modernizing Medicine EHR system.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Empathetic and compassionate with a strong focus on patient care.

Salary: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
