Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Communications and Marketing Director is responsible for developing and maintaining communications with the membership; working with the media; maintaining all social media platforms and developing marketing strategies for all association functions and events. The Communications and Marketing Director is an integral part of the staff team and has significant interaction with members, prospective members, community organizations, vendors, and other staff.

Skills and Qualifications

• High School diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or other areas a plus. Experience in public relations or media is a plus.
• Creative with excellent writing and communication skills.
• Demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, and be results-oriented.
• Enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences
• Demonstrate strong customer service aptitude and attitude.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to get along with others.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize and work in an environment where every day brings a new and unique experience.
• Maintain confidentiality, flexibility, and adaptability.
• Be familiar with MS Office applications, WordPress, and Canva
• Ability to work with a team.
