Job Purpose

  • Overall responsible to ensure product quality through efficient equipment operation. Direct or lead problem analysis for equipment related performance or quality concerns. Lead innovative projects to improve department characteristics.

Key Accountabilities

  • Implement measures to ensure safe operation of equipment.
  • Set targets for equipment performance, monitor progress, and implement c/m when necessary to achieve department and business unit targets
  • Prepare reports and presentations (e.g., month end, division reports, business plan updates, company scorecard, visual management, focus group, new model, etc.).
  • Lead department projects to maintain or improve operating characteristics, NM equipment maturation (process and internal spec), along with offset development, as needed
  • Manage project implementation, schedule, budget, resource allocations, weekend and shutdown work coordination and project status communications to ensure successful project completion.
  • Stop Ship parameter input and maintenance/verification
  • Analyze equipment and quality data to identify areas for improvement; use trend data to proactively address issues; coordinate equipment quality monitoring, countermeasure, and investigation.

Workstyle

  • This is an onsite position and it will be based at our East Liberty Auto Plant, in Ohio.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Minimum Educational Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Minimum Experience:
    • 2 to 8 years of experience based on education (preferred 6-8 years of experience with equipment maintenance and operation)
  • Other job-specific Skills
    • Equipment maintenance and operation, PLC, ActivePlant
    • Technical expertise in PLC systems (e.g. - Omron, Mitsubishi) and ActivPlant. This will comprise a significant part of day-to-day work. Preferred experience with Fanuc and Yaskawa robots
    • Proven ability to analyze data and implement effective countermeasures.
    • Preferred experience the Maximo Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
    • Strong project management capabilities. 
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills
