SUMMARY:

This role supports a high-end live entertainment and dining venue operating within a growing hospitality group with locations across the U.S. The concept blends live music, elevated food and beverage, and curated guest experiences in a multi-level venue featuring private dining and event spaces. The organization is growth-oriented, relationship-driven, and focused on delivering memorable experiences that encourage repeat visitation and long-term loyalty.

Our client's PURPOSE is to create memorable experiences that delight guests and elevate every interaction. Their MISSION is to deliver exceptional entertainment, food, beverages, and service through thoughtful execution, genuine hospitality, and attention to detail. The VISION is that every guest leaves feeling energized, valued, and eager to return.

The Sales Manager – Group & Events owns *ALL* group and private event sales for the venue. This individual manages the full sales lifecycle—from inquiry through event execution—for corporate, social, and civic gatherings. The role partners closely with operations and leadership to design compelling event offerings, optimize venue utilization, and drive repeat business.

This position is well-suited for a hospitality sales professional with experience in hotels, private clubs, restaurants, or event venues who understands how to balance sales performance with service excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and convert inbound group and private event inquiries into confirmed bookings.
  • Drive demand during non-peak hours and fill daytime availability while increasing smaller group bookings during evening service.
  • Sell and manage premium access programs and membership-style offerings, ensuring annual capacity targets are achieved.
  • Represent the venue at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to generate new business.
  • Serve as the primary contact for group clients and program members.
  • Meet with clients to customize event packages aligned with their objectives, budgets, and guest expectations.
  • Capture and communicate client feedback to leadership to support continuous improvement of offerings and service.
  • Prepare, maintain, and distribute detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to operations teams.
  • Lead weekly sales and operations meetings to align on upcoming events, staffing needs, and execution details.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to develop new products, services, and experiences that encourage repeat visits.
  • Partner with leadership to meet or exceed revenue, quality, and operational goals.
  • Support achievement of performance benchmarks (guest satisfaction ratings across major review platforms, daily and group sales targets, sanitation and safety audit standards, healthy employee retention rates, operating costs maintained within budget)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3–5 years of experience in hospitality, venue, or event sales.
  • Proven success selling private events for groups ranging from small gatherings to large-scale receptions.
  • Strong working knowledge of front- and back-of-house operations, including food and beverage service, staffing, inventory, and food safety.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends, based on business needs.
  • Integrity & Accountability
  • Confidence in persuading and converting prospects into booked events
  • Ability to establish trust with guests, partners, and internal teams.
  • Clear, professional verbal and written communication.
  • Physical Stamina: Able to stand, walk, and lift up to 45 pounds as required in a hospitality environment.

WHY THIS ROLE?

  • Opportunity to make a direct impact on revenue growth and guest experience
  • Work within a dynamic, experience-driven hospitality environment
  • Join a growing organization with expansion opportunities
  • Collaborative culture focused on excellence, integrity, and innovation
