Job Description

Florist - Wynn Resorts Build, produce, install and maintain floral arrangements following the Wynn Floral Design Standard. As the florist, you are responsible for the maintenance of fresh floral product, housekeeping of the department, and ensuring the department’s standards are met. Your duties include receiving and processing fresh floral product, culling, sanitizing, and organizing the floral cooler, preparing props and containers, performing event set‑ups and strikes, cleaning and storing props, delivering retail orders, and assisting in customer service during floral phone orders. Responsibilities Take floral orders, create arrangements, deliver the arrangements and process all paperwork properly. Build and produce floral arrangements for public area pieces, weddings, events, daily retail orders, special events, and projects while following the Wynn Floral Design Standard. Receive, process, tag and pull floral product and hard goods. Maintain a clean environment, including cleaning and organizing the floral coolers, storage rooms, storage and work areas, and the floral studio. Produce, deliver, install and strike events, special projects, and décor both off‑site and on‑site. Process floral orders through the GoConcierge system, telephone and in person. Provide support and mentoring to newly hired florists. Effectively handle internal and external guests, demonstrating patience, tact and diplomacy. Operate specialized power and motorized equipment such as scissor lift, boom lift, forklift, pallet jack, electric pallet jack and utility vehicles and trucks up to 30 ft. long. Maintain the Company standards of service to guests and coworkers at all times. Ensure cleanliness and appearance for all areas. Maintain a safe and pristine work environment. Follow safety as a priority, adhering to department and company safety standards. Know and follow Company policies and procedures, embrace company culture and take pride in the resort. Understand department tasks and standards. Be well‑versed in resort, hotel features and services including all outlets, hours of operation, activities and events for guests. Attend required training classes and incorporate new knowledge into daily work practices. Assist peers, guests, other departments or leaders whenever possible. Be solution oriented, avoid conflict and gossip, stay on task and promote teamwork. Maintain awareness of guest experience, smile, make eye contact and communicate professionally. Qualifications 2 years of experience in floral design preferred. Valid Nevada driver’s license required. Must be able to operate specialized power and motorized equipment (scissor lift, boom lift, forklift, pallet jack, electric pallet jack, utility vehicles, and trucks up to 30 ft.). Prior knowledge of Go Concierge, MMS Agilysys and HotSOS preferred. Work efficiently within a team environment. Possess a positive, “whatever it takes” attitude. Have an open mind and willingness to learn new processes, concepts and ways of approach. Excellent communication skills. Well‑groomed and professional. Communicate in English with guests, management and associates; foreign language a plus. Available to work all shifts and days, including weekends, holidays, opening and closing shifts; flexible schedule based on business demands and special projects. Work proficiently with deadlines without constant guidance and supervision, following company and department standards. Handle stressful, high‑pressure situations effectively. Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding guests and staff. High‑school diploma or equivalent education, training and experience that provides required knowledge, skills and abilities. 21 years of age or older.
