Role Overview:

Creating solutions for everything from dining and nutrition to facilities maintenance and rehabilitative services, Sodexo partners with government agencies and military organizations to improve people’s quality of life and make a positive impact.

 

Sodexo  is seeking a  Food Production Manager 2 for the  United States Marine Corps , a military base located in  Quantico , Virginia. This is a high profile operation that is a component of a very high volume, high prestige, US Military contract. Position will be part of a management team of 3 to include a GM, an Operations Manager, and a Production Manager with 3 to 4 additional front of house managers. Operation is located in the Quantico Virginia area and provides 7 day per week service, 3 meals per day, 365 days per year for a total of approximately 400,000 meals served annually. Operation(s) is cafeteria style service providing main entrees, vegetables, and salad options to future officers of one of our prestigious military organizations. 

What You'll Do:
  • oversee food production / trayline operations with a variety of food
  • handle food ordering and inventory 
  • perform tray assessments to ensure food quality, temperature and tray accuracy;
  • comply with budget requirements by controlling costs (i.e. labor, inventory, equipment, materials) and making adjustments when necessary;
  • exceed Sodexo standards for Gold Checks and achieve successful regulatory inspections and audits; and/or
  • perform functions that include direct supervision of hourly associates including employee development.

What You Bring:
  • excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of standards and implement company policies;
  • prior 2 years of food service experience ideally in a high volume food service environment

  • basic culinary knowledge .
