As a Forensic Structural Engineer, you will play a critical role in investigating and analyzing structural failures, determining causation, and providing expert testimony when necessary. • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, insurance adjusters, and legal professionals, to assess damages and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare detailed forensic engineering reports outlining findings, conclusions, and recommendations for remediation or litigation purposes.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required; additional certifications in forensic engineering or structural analysis highly desirable but not required.
  • Some kind of professional experience in forensic structural engineering is preferred.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software and forensic engineering tools, such as RISA, ANSYS, or ARAMIS.
  • Thorough understanding of building codes, standards, and industry practices related to forensic investigations (e.g., ASTM, ASCE, NFPA).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
