Freight Broker
Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Freight Broker to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating the movement of freight by connecting shippers with carriers. You will leverage your expertise in logistics and sales to negotiate rates, manage accounts, and ensure timely delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a deep understanding of the logistics industry.
Duties
- Develop and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers to facilitate freight movement.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts with carriers to secure competitive rates.
- Utilize software tools to manage shipments, track deliveries, and maintain accurate records.
- Coordinate logistics operations including scheduling, dispatching, and monitoring shipments.
- Handle account management tasks to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize logistics processes and improve service delivery.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in freight brokerage.
Skills
- Book of Business or 2+ years of freight broker experience required
- Proficiency in using logistics software systems.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on pricing strategies.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills for problem-solving within the logistics framework.
- Effective communication skills for building relationships with clients and partners.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
