Primary Responsibilities:

The Physician Gastroenterology is responsible for:

  • Consulting with patients to understand their health concerns
  • Performing specialized tests to diagnose and treat patients
  • Evidence-based approach with appropriate use of endoscopic procedures, CT scan, MRI, Ultrasound, and other tests
  • Shared Hospital Call and Office Call required

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, a part of Optum, is Houston’s premier multispecialty group practice, founded in 1949 by Dr. Mavis Kelsey in Houston’s renowned Texas Medical Center. Required Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree (MD, DO, M.B.B.S)

  • Licensed or willing to be licensed in the State of Texas

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology

  • Unrestricted DEA license or ability to obtain prior to employment

Preferred Qualification:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency

Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $371,000 to $735,500. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
