Description: The work will focus on preparing input GIS data for the MAG forecasting models. The intern will verify and update a variety of land use and traffic-related data for Utah County. The work may involve integrating, manipulating, and processing data from various sources using analytical and computer skills. The work also includes other GIS and data-related tasks. Qualifications: Working towards a BS or MS degree in geography, urban planning, civil engineering, or other related disciplines. Must have a working knowledge of Esri GIS software (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online), Google Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with programming tools (e.g., Python, HTML, etc.) is a plus. An understanding of regional transportation and land use planning in Utah County is preferred. A detail-oriented attitude is needed. Must possess a valid State of Utah driver's license and have access to a vehicle.
