Job Description

Summary

This position is an entry level to equipment operator II position to provide labor and general maintenance of grounds and grooming for the golf course and related areas. Position falls under the supervision of the Lead person and golf course superintendent.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• The operation and service of all tractors and rental equipment.
• Operation and service of golf course mowers.
• Cut grass on fairways, tees, green and building areas.
• Assist in servicing irrigation system.
• Chemical application, fertilizing and seeding.
• Perform any combination of tasks to maintain golf course and facilities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
• This position requires a self-starter and the ability to work with a minimum of supervision.

Qualifications

• Must have some mechanical dexterity for the handling, use and maintenance of all golf courses landscaping equipment.
• Must be able to operate each piece of equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Current valid Arizona Driver License is required.

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma/GED required
• Three (3) years' experience in equipment operation on golf course or parks and recreation facilities
