Hardware Technician

Job Title: Hardware Technician
Location: Columbus, OH
Salary: $60-75k + full benefits and OT
Requirement: 1+ years of experience in mechanical/electrical component assembly. FARO, metrology, Polyworks experience preferred-

Position Overview
We are a growing robotics organization paving the way for AI driven hardware and manufacturing solutions. Due to continued growth we are now seeking a skilled Hardware Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the design, fabrication, and testing of hardware systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our products through hands-on technical work and collaboration with engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and fabricate hardware components according to specifications.
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of hardware systems to identify and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with design engineers to optimize hardware designs for manufacturability and performance.
• Maintain accurate records of testing and fabrication processes.
• Support the development of new hardware prototypes and assist in the iterative design process.
• Assist in the setup and maintenance of machine shop equipment and tools.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in machine shop environment, fabrication and assembly.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with robotics and automation technologies.
• Experience in troubleshooting complex hardware systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Associates or Technical Training certification preferred
• Bonus points for previous experience with Polyworks or FARO
