We’re currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Toddler/Preschool Teacher to join our team. If you have a passion for shaping young minds and fostering growth, we’d love to meet you!

Responsibilities

• Follow all guidelines outlined in the Golden Academy Employee Handbook, Title 22 Regulations, and Preventive Health and Safety standards.
• Plan and implement daily classroom activities aligned with the Creative Curriculum and STEAM .
• Foster a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment that supports the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social growth of each child.
• Comfort children, establish consistent routines, and provide positive discipline and guidance.
• Maintain ongoing communication with parents using Brightwheel , including daily updates, messaging, and progress reports.
• Supervise children indoors and outdoors, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Support classroom organization, cleanliness, and mealtime preparation and cleanup.
• Adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate the ability to multitask and keep up with the daily needs of active young children.

Qualifications

• Child Development Associate's Degree (Preferred)
• Teacher Permit from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing OR 24 ECE/CD units including core courses, plus 16 units in General Education
• 6 Infant/Toddler Units (Required)
• Pediatric CPR and First Aid (Preferred)
• Up-to-date Immunizations & Negative TB Test (Required)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Email)
• Familiarity with educational apps and tools
• Experience working in a diverse, inclusive environment
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus

Working Conditions

• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Frequent bending, squatting, and sitting on the floor
• Physically active role requiring energy and stamina
• Comfortable working in a busy and occasionally noisy classroom

Working Hours

• Part-time and full-time positions available
• Monday through Friday (Day shift only)
• No nights or weekends

Compensation

$18.00 – $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 hours/week
Probation period: 6 months
