Rate Range: $450-$500 per day Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to contribute to the development and enhancement of our Rates / Credit Trading Platform . This role will involve working on high-performance, scalable trading solutions, integrating vendor platforms, and ensuring seamless API connectivity to support our trading operations. Key Responsibilities: Develop and optimize the Rates / Credit Trading platform using Java, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability. Design and implement robust APIs for seamless integration with vendor trading platforms such as ION, Bloomberg, Murex, Client, TransFICC, or Broadway . Work with messaging systems like Kafka or Solace to ensure efficient and low-latency data processing. Develop and maintain database solutions using Sybase or Oracle , ensuring optimal performance and data integrity. Collaborate with traders, quants, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment in a fast-paced financial environment. Optimize system performance by debugging, profiling, and tuning Java applications for low-latency trading. Ensure regulatory compliance and security measures within the trading platform. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong proficiency in Java (8+ years of experience preferred). Experience with messaging systems (Kafka or Solace) for real-time data processing. Proficiency in relational databases (Sybase or Oracle) and writing optimized SQL queries. Hands-on experience with API development and integration with vendor platforms such as ION, Bloomberg, Murex, Client, TransFICC, or Broadway. Knowledge of financial markets and trading systems, particularly in Rates and Credit Trading. Experience with multi-threaded programming, high-performance computing, and low-latency systems. Understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced trading environment.
