Armed Security Officer Dillon Dam Reservoir (Dillon, CO)

$25.00 per hour | 12-hour Shifts | Day & Night Shifts Available

Join Citadel Security USA in protecting one of Colorado's critical infrastructure sites Dillon Dam Reservoir, located in the breathtaking Summit County mountains. As an Armed Security Officer, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the dam, surrounding facilities, and community resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Patrol & Presence: Serve as a visible deterrent by patrolling the dam and surrounding areas
• Access Control: Manage and document entry to restricted areas, verifying credentials and vehicle compliance
• Risk Assessment: Monitor and assess safety risks; identify and report hazards
• Incident Response: Respond to emergencies and suspicious activity with calm and professionalism
• Customer Interaction: Greet and assist the public, staff, and contractors with a customer-focused approach
• Reporting: Maintain accurate logs and documentation of daily activities, incidents, and security concerns
• Collaboration: Coordinate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and internal teams
• Adaptability: Work in a remote, mountainous environment with variable weather and seasonal conditions

Requirements

• Minimum Age: 21+ years old
• Legal Requirements: Must legally possess and carry a firearm while on duty
• Experience: Prior firearm experience required; military, law enforcement, or armed security experience preferred
• Education: High school diploma or GED
• Transportation: Reliable transportation to and from site required (4WD vehicle highly recommended)
• Physical Ability: Able to stand/walk for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and operate in all weather conditions
• Background: Must pass a criminal background check and urinalysis (as required)
• Technology: Own a smartphone and have basic tech literacy for documentation and communication
• Language: Fluent in English (Spanish a plus)

Preferred Certifications (Not Required but Valued)

• CPR/AED Certification
• Baton and Pepper Spray Certification
• Active Security Guard License (if applicable in Colorado)

Pay: $25.00 per hour (non-exempt, overtime eligible)

Shifts: 12-hour shifts; day and night shift openings

Referral Bonus: $50 per successful referral

Pay Frequency: Weekly pay with daily pay options available
