BASIC FUNCTION:

Responsible for the design, implementation, and management of ESD’s cloud-based Solutions and Infrastructure platform. Provide leadership, strategic guidance and operational oversight to the cloud development team and strategic partners. Duties will include monitoring, enhancing, architecting, and implementing ESD’s cloud-based solutions and infrastructure initiatives.

WORK PERFORMED:

• Design, build, deploy and manage highly secure, scalable and available cloud-based applications and supporting infrastructure.
• Lead the Cloud Application Development team to design, build, deploy, optimize and debug cloud-based applications, including MS Dynamics and SQL based databases.
• Supervise, mentor and train Junior Application Developers.
• Evaluate and recommend new and emerging cloud applications technologies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align cloud strategy with business goals.
• Work with Security Engineers to integrate cloud-based security solutions into ESD’s existing cloud applications.
• Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with cloud related application policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements.
• Author functional specifications for new and enhanced cloud solutions and infrastructure requirements.
• Review new cloud initiatives and ensure compliance with defined IT operational and business requirements.
• Liaise with 3rd Party vendors in support of ESD’s cloud infrastructure and solutions implementation.
• Assist with IT Disaster Recovery efforts, testing and documentation.
• Perform other related duties and / or projects as directed by IT Management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education Level required: BA in an IT related discipline with minimum of 3 years’ experience in related field; Or a 2-year degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience; Or, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. At least 3 years of experience in the field of cloud computing. Experience with Azure Cloud Infrastructure c omponents to include, networking, security, applications, data Troubleshooting and analytical skills. Experience with MS Dynamics. Good communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; Strong written and verbal communication skills.
