Job Description:

Binghamton University's College of Community of Public Affairs (CCPA) was established in 2007 and is located in the heart of the city of Binghamton. CCPA is composed of five departments: Human Development, Public Administration, Social Work, Student Affairs Administration, and Teaching, Learning, and Educational Leadership, as well as an interdisciplinary doctoral program in Community Research and Action, all of which prepare students for community-building professions.

Job Description:

The Educational Leadership Program in the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Educational Leadership is looking for two (2) half-time (.5) Lecturers to support the Educational Leadership Program. Requirements and responsibilities include:

• Teaching 3 courses (one in the Fall, one in the Spring, and one in the Summer) in the Educational Leadership Program.
• Assisting with administration of the C.A.S. in Educational Leadership Program to include:
  • orientation of new students
  • application review
  • preparation for accreditation
  • administrative intern supervision
  • student advisement
  • assisting with job placement
  • attending Department and College meetings
  • other requirements as needed
• Support and assist with the development of new requirements due to accreditation changes or program expansion.

Requirements:

Requirements:

• Master's degree (or higher).
• At least 5 years of educational administration experience.
• Experience as either a Superintendent or an Assistant Superintendent.
• Hold a New York State School or School District Administration License (the SDL, SBL, SDBL, SAS, or SDA certification).

Preferred:

• C.A.S in Educational Leadership and/or a doctorate degree.
