Computer Assembler Job Description:
\n\nThe Computer Assembler performs various system and component assembly activities
\n\naccording to Standard Operating Procedures and instructions.

? Responsible for performing various system/component assembly according
\n\nto procedure and instructions
\n\n? Assemble parts or units, and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies,
\n\nsubassemblies, or frames, using hand tools and power tools
\n\n? Connect cables, tubes, and wiring, according to specifications
\n\n? Position, align, and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly
\n\n? Read blueprints and specifications to determine component parts and
\n\nassembly sequences of electromechanical units
\n\n? Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet
\n\nspecifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements
\n\n? Attach identifying information on system parts
\n\n? Perform precise system parts assembly according to SOP (Standard
\n\nOperating Procedures)
\n\n\n\n
? Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area
\n\n? Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
\n\n? Demonstrate ability to work in a self-directed, high energy, fast paced
\n\nenvironment
\n\n? Manual dexterity for using light power and hand tools
\n\n\n\n

\n\n? High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
\n\n? CompTIA or A+ Certifications a plus

\n\n? Previous computer hardware structure knowledge and hands on experience

Additional Details:
\n\nRack Cable Labeling- sit down repetitive job, light lifting
\n\nRack Assembly- physical job, frequent lifting of 20-25lbs, hand tools, torque driver, power tools
\n\nRack Cabling-light lifting
\n\nAssembly Operators- small hands, tiny parts, dexterity
\n\nUnboxing/Material Running- material handling up to 25lb lifting
\n\nChassis- repetitive lifting of 35lbs
