About the Unit
The Corewell Health Continuing Care RNC Internal Agency Program provides the opportunity to work 13- week full-time assignments in various RNCs within Corewell Health West. Initial opportunities will be primarily evening and night shifts, 80 hours per pay period positions in areas of greatest need. It encompasses all of our Rehab and Nursing Centers in West Michigan: Kentridge, Cedar, Leffingwell, Greenville and Reed City.
About Rehab and Nursing Center-Kentridge
We are located on a 10-acre campus. Our indoor and outdoor spaces are designed to provide opportunities for improving independence, strength, and confidence. Two main floor courtyards provide outdoor space for rest and renewal. Most patient rooms are private, and have an attached bathroom and shower, television with cable, phone, and a large window. Each unit has a large and accessible living and dining space, and a menu-based meal service is provided.
About Rehab and Nursing Center-Leffingwell
The Rehab and Nursing Center Leffingwell was designed with healing in mind. The center offers 80 private rooms with beautiful nature views. In addition to a dedicated interdisciplinary team, physical, occupational, recreation and speech therapists will provide patients with a customized therapy program designed to meet individual rehabilitation needs. Our expert team of therapists will use the latest technology and techniques to maximize independence and mobility to help prepare patients to return home.
About Rehab and Nursing Center Cedar
The Rehabilitation & Nursing Center Cedar was designed with the word home in mind. The home is more spacious than the previous 52-year-old Fuller Street facility and boasts many new amenities, including four spacious interior courtyards; a new dining room; on-site dialysis den; art room, private and semiprivate rooms with their own window, restroom and shower; modern furnishings; and new technology, to make these community members feel at home.
Scope of work
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Under the direction of the RN/Mid-level Provider/Physician and in collaboration with other members of the health care team, contributes to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Informs patients and families about treatments and medications being received, equipment being utilized, and other related activities as appropriate, in coordination with the RN/Mid-level Provider/Physician. Documents care provided via computer/written patient record in a manner consistent with guidelines.

Qualifications
+ Associates in Nursing Required
+ MI Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Required
+ AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
+ Six months of experience in the designated area is preferred.
