Provides professional landscape maintenance of the Authoritys perishable landscape assets on an assigned Tollway. Responsibilities include removing litter/debris, weeding, landscape maintenance activities, and improving landscape appearance and condition. Operates equipment such as dump trucks, tractors, forklifts, front end loaders, skid loaders, and other heavy machinery. Also includes operating push mowers, zero turn mowers, string trimmers, edgers, aerators, and other landscape tools. Additional duties involve landscape modifications, tree/shrub trimming, plant replacement or installation, landscape bed construction, and the proper use of pesticides including herbicides, insecticides, and disease mitigation chemicals. Assists with landscape inspections and preventive maintenance within the Landscape Division.
This is a designated Essential Employee position, requiring attendance during emergencies or inclement weather as per the NTTA Employee Handbook.
