Eaton's ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Maintenance Repair Technician (CNC) - 2nd Shift. This position is based at our Syracuse, New York facility with core hours of 2:30pm to 11:00pm. The hourly rate for this position is $39.04 per hour.
What you'll do: \n - Tear down, determine extent of troubles, repair damaged electrical or mechanical mechanism or replace worn or defective parts and reassemble following standard and prescribed safety regulations.
\n - Need a basic understanding of PLC logic and machine programming (Mcode/Gcode)
\n - Adjust equipment to required specification and check to assure effective operation.
\n - Check sequence of machine cycle, determine type of machine malfunction, make all necessary repairs applying machine repair theory along with electrical theory.
\n - Perform electrical test operations.
\n - Work from complex schematic diagrams, manuals and testing procedures.
\n - Troubleshoot all defective printed circuit assembly boards.
\n - Perform similar or associated electrical or mechanical duties as directed.
\n - Detect and report all unusual cases to proper supervision.
\n - Use of judgment to comply with instructions or prescribed routines and to make decisions.

Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications: \n - Must have a high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
\n - Journeymen or three (3) years of documented CNC repair maintenance experience in an industrial electrical/mechanical trade
\n - Experience with ladder logic circuit diagrams, industrial motor control schematics, and blueprint reading
\n - Authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship.

Preferred qualifications: \n - Four (4) years or more of documented CNC repair maintenance experience in an industrial electrical/mechanical trade preferred
\n - Background in machining and electrical equipment
\n - Two-year degree in electronics with mechanical experience/Military electronics experience.
\n - Experience with hydraulics
