Overview Reading/Math Tutors for During the Day Part-Time | Henrico, VA
Position Details: - Tutors will provide contracted instructional services with the necessary educational expertise in reading or math foundational skills
- Small Group Instruction for students in 3rd through 8th grade
- 15-25 hours/week
- Pay: $35/hour
- Bonus: Tutors that attend all tutoring sessions will be eligible for an attendance bonus!
Location Details: - Elementary or middle schools in Henrico County, VA

Catapult Learning is proud to offer a high-impact tutoring program in Henrico County schools. This program will provide critical support in reading, math, writing and science to help students learn key concepts to support their classroom learning and SOL objectives.
Responsibilities How you'll be there for students: Be their advocate, difference maker, and mentor.

As a tutor with Catapult Learning, you will:
Differentiate Instruction: Customize and deliver lessons and use data to meet student needs.
Engage Students: Foster ownership, critical thinking, and clear routines.
Grow Professionally: Embrace training, coaching, and feedback.
Track Progress: Maintain accurate student and academic records.
- Have experience working in challenging schools
- Diagnose learning skill deficits using district provided assessment information
- Deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by the Company
- Consult with school personnel to coordinate efforts in providing services to students
- Ensure supervision of students, including escorting students safely to and from sessions.
- Attend and documents meetings/training with Company Supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents as required by the Company, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
- Maintain inventory of educational materials and supplies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications What we'll need from you: The positive, enthusiastic teacher we seek has these qualifications.
- Payrate: $35/hr
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or Related Field required
- Tutoring or Teaching experience preferred using VA SOLS
- Pass a background check prior to assignment to a school
