Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Remote Medical Coder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of medical coding experience and hold certification from AAPC, HIMA, or RCC. As a Remote Medical Coder, you will be responsible for accurately coding medical records and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

**4- 6 month long contract, full time

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze medical records to identify relevant diagnoses and procedures.
• Assign appropriate codes using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with federal regulations and guidelines.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses and procedures.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and industry changes.
• Participate in coding audits and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide coding education and support to healthcare staff as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of medical coding experience.
• Certification from AAPC, HIMA, or RCC.
• Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is preferred.
