Job Description

Medical Editor

Adds reference annotations to final PDFs of promotional materials for OPDP submission
Highlights and back-annotates corresponding references for OPDP submission
Supplies missing reference annotations and/or references
Completes multiple projects under extremely tight deadlines
Helps proofread package inserts, medication guides, brief summaries, and other labeling documents
Translates complex medical information into patient-friendly language

Skills and Knowledge • Required:

Well versed in Adobe Acrobat Professional
Thorough understanding of pharmaceutical LMR review process
Ability to focus on detailed, repetitious tasks for long periods
Flexibility in meeting strict deadlines
Strong interpersonal communication skills

-Ability to hyperlink references in Adobe Acrobat • Preferred:

Knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical terminology and federal regulations governing pharmaceutical advertising
Experience in writing and/or editing professional promotional, med ed, or related materials
Pharma ad agency experience

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree in English/journalism/mass communications or equivalent work experience
Minimum 5 years of referencing submissions for LMR and/or OPDP review
Minimum 5 years of proofreading experience, preferably in the medical/pharmaceutical field
