Job Title: Locum Physician Assistant – Neurosurgery (Inpatient/Outpatient) Locations: Hackensack (New Jersey) Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Contract dates: Dec 29th to June 30th Compensation: $140/hour
We are seeking a locum tenens Physician Assistant (PA) to join a busy Neurosurgery team , covering both inpatient and outpatient settings (50/50 split) at PMC and HUMC in New Jersey. This is a high-acuity, fast-paced role trauma-level experience is a plus , with competitive hourly pay and the potential for long-term placement.
Position Highlights:Facilities: 2 Hospitals in Hackensack
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Call: Variable, based on provider necessity
Pay Rate: $140/hour

Privileging Required
First-assist in neurosurgical procedures
Manage inpatient rounding, admissions, and discharges
Handle outpatient clinic visits and post-op care
Respond to consults and coordinate care in a trauma-level environment
Work closely with neurosurgeons and advanced practice providers
Active NJ PA license
Up-to-date CDS and DEA
Trauma-level experience is strongly preferred
Neurosurgery, neurology, or surgical specialty experience preferred
Must be able to obtain hospital privileges at both PMC and HUMC
Excellent clinical judgment and ability to multitask in a high-volume setting
Competitive hourly rate: $140/hour

Exposure to high-complexity cases in a trauma setting
Great weekday schedule – no nights, consistent hours
Valuable experience across both inpatient and outpatient neurosurgery care
