This position will support our Boston and Waltham Clinics. Schedule: (4) 10-hour shifts, Monday-Friday. The Oral Surgery Assistant is responsible for: Provides technical assistance and support for Dentists/Surgeons during Plastic & Oral Surgery examinations and procedures. Under regular supervision and following established procedures and instructions, provides basic direct care to patients. Prepares patients and instruments and treatment materials for procedures. Obtains, measures, and records vital signs. Obtains radiographic images and dental impressions. Assists clinician during examinations including passing instruments and materials, placing topical gel and/or anesthetic cream; may remove sutures. After procedure, provides patients/parents with general information and instruction. Cleans and sterilizes room and equipment. The Oral Surgery Assistant must have: Current Radiology Certification through the Massachusetts Dental Society. Basic CPR Certification. Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) by the Dental Assistant National Board (DANB) required.
