Job Description
We’re looking for a motivated and mechanically minded Apprentice Leak Detection Technician to join us. This is an opportunity for someone who thrives on solving problems, learns quickly, and enjoys working with people. While this is an entry-level/apprentice position, candidates must have a working familiarity with plumbing systems or similar mechanical fields.
Prior experience in leak detection is not required—we will train the right individual.
Position Details
Travel: Occasional overnight and out-of-state travel required (approximately 15-20%) We do out of state leak detection tours that require travel
Driving: A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required. This job involves significant daily driving across a wide service area and to out of state projects.
Estimated Pay Range: $38,000 to $52,000+ annually, depending on experience (DOE)

What You’ll Do
Learn and apply leak detection techniques using advanced equipment
Inspect plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and municipal settings
Work directly with clients to assess situations and gather relevant information
Communicate findings and proposed solutions clearly and professionally
Conduct camera inspections as needed
Document all findings in a clear and organized manner
Follow strict safety protocols and company guidelines
Maintain and care for specialized equipment issued to you
Remain flexible and open to evolving duties as the company grows
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
Hands-on experience or familiarity with plumbing, mechanical, or utility systems
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Strong communication and customer service abilities
Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working both independently and on a team
Quick learner with a desire to master new tools and techniques
Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality work
High school diploma or equivalent
Comfortable with physical work and extensive driving
Able to speak, read, and write English fluently
Capable of interpreting technical information and blueprints
Equipment Care
This role requires the use of sensitive tools and technology. You will be responsible for handling, maintaining, and tracking your assigned equipment with care and attention. Neglect or misuse can lead to disciplinary action and safety hazards.
