Job Description

Job Summary:

Oneida Health is currently seeking a Full-time Practice Manager. This leadership role is responsible for providing direction to physician practices, encompassing finance, human resources, strategic planning, information technology, risk management, and clinical oversight related to nursing care in line with practice standards. The Practice Manager manages a diverse staff, including RNs, LPNs, MOAs, MOCs, and Care Coordinators. The ideal candidate excels in building and maintaining productive professional relationships with physicians and advanced practice providers.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct day-to-day operations of assigned practices, continuously reviewing and evaluating operational procedures for efficiency and performance improvement.
Collaborate with Human Resources on hiring, orientation, compensation, employee relations, and compliance.
Strategic planning and marketing management, promoting practices and physicians effectively to the public and referral sources, and identifying new revenue streams.
Oversee clinical nursing care, ensuring compliance with established regulations and standards, including quality assurance, confidentiality, and medical record keeping.
Provide direct supervision to nurses and subordinate staff, ensuring appropriate assessment and treatment of patient health.
Serve as a key problem-solving resource for staff by studying patient needs/trends and suggesting solutions to ongoing care issues.
Manage special projects and other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

The role involves working in an office setting and may require occasional travel between practice locations. The ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods is essential.

Education:

Associates Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of professional healthcare experience.
2 years of supervisory-level experience, preferably in a Medical Practice setting.
Knowledge of nursing practice principles and techniques, occupational health and safety hazards and standards, and healthcare laws and regulations.

License and Certification:

Licensed Nurse Practitioner (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) preferred.
